TREATMENT:
There are many ways to treat lower back pain. Unfortunately, traditional methods commonly used to treat the symptoms only temporary relief; they do not really work on the actual cause of the pain. The following is:

• Prescription pharmaceuticals (painkillers such as paracetamol, NSAIDs, steroids, etc., and / or muscle relaxants) to reduce pain.
• osteopathic or chiropractic treatments such as spinal manipulation.
• Heat in the painful area through heat packs, swim in the heated swimming pool etc.
• Using a firm and flat surface to lie / sleep.
• Avoid movements that can increase the level of pain, especially bending and lifting heavy loads.
• Acupuncture and acupressure techniques also help.
• Adjustment posture and ergonomic modifications to avoid extra strain on the spine.
• Massage is also useful in some cases.

The most effective way to treat spondylosis; pinched nerve (sciatica); muscle and / or joint pain; slipped disc; and back pain or neck is "McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT)". As recently in October 2014 a research study conducted on 271 patients in Kosovo found MDT is more useful and effective than the electro-physical agents (EPA). This method has a fast-acting and long-term effects on the health of the patient. Moreover, it has NO side effects that may occur with other treatment strategies. This is because, these methods help your doctor to find out what the exact cause of your problem and makes it possible to apply the pattern of 1-2 exercises are best suited for particular conditions.

At first, a detailed history of the patient is taken and tested functionally and mechanically to record the movement and the body's response to different positions. Then planned treatment strategy based on the findings recorded and the person is advised to maintain a certain posture and doing special exercises at home and office. Everyone is also advised to follow some guidelines intervention to avoid problems in the future. This prevention plan based on behavioral symptoms of your body that previously recorded on your first assessment. This is very important because of back pain tends to recur after a long period of time so it is important for patients to be educated on how to avoid episodes of pain in the future.

Accurate and precise diagnosis allows the physician to treat a perfect person according to his / her particular condition. Therefore, every person who uses the McKenzie Method is treated exclusively by / special problems that underlie its because everyone has a different underlying pathology for lumbago. McKenzie method allows the therapist to identify the underlying cause and nature in place and use different techniques to fix the root of the problem. This causes the fastest treatment outcomes and durable. This method is very special because it eliminates other expensive diagnostic tests and the diagnosis and treatment carried out by the same therapist. Unlike other methods MDT allows you to manage and control the pain on a permanent basis.
