Causes, Symptoms and Treatment of Dyspraxia


Here's an explanation of the causes, symptoms and treatment of dyspraxia. Before that we will discuss in advance about the meaning of dyspraxia itself. Dyspraxia is a complex disorder in which individuals lack the coordination of their motor activity, speech, assessment, body balance and movement. In these people, a variety of cognitive skills such as memory, perception, thought processes are usually disrupted, although the intelligence remains unaffected. In addition, the nervous system and the immune system suffered a major setback. Dyspraxia is widely known as Developmental Coordination Disorder. Diagnosis is done by examining the symptoms of dyspraxia. Adults and children suffering from dyspraxia have great difficulty in performing normal daily functions.

CAUSE

We only assume the cause Dyspraxia as researchers have not been able to determine anything with confirmation. It is estimated that the main cause of this disorder is the improper development of motor neurons in infants because the proper connection is not established and therefore the message from the brain fails to get transmitted to the muscles. Therefore, children may be born with Dyspraxia. This phenomenon can be caused by:

• Premature Birth
• Low weight at birth
• Genetic causes

However, in the case of adults, the incidence of sudden Dyspraxia symptoms may be due to any serious injury or head-head-stroke or the same right from birth. According to experts, 10 percent of people suffer from the symptoms of mild dyspraxia, although only 2 percent are affected by it.

SYMPTOMS

• They are poor in play activities because of poor motor coordination ability and therefore find it difficult to socialize with children of the same age group. At school, they can not take part in PE activities.
• They usually have trouble concentrating, learning and memorizing, given the fact that they have very poor working memory and attention span is very short. Although the child's intelligence is not affected by this disorder.

• They have impaired social skills and usually loners.
• They have a very poor sense of time.

TREATMENT

There is no such treatment for this disorder; However, the individual practices can improve. In general, early diagnosis of dyspraxia symptoms is very important in the development and support for a variety of therapies that will be implemented at an early stage to overcome this disorder.
