Thoughts of Children with Autism

"Theory of Mind" which means how we infer mental states such as beliefs, desires, intentions, imagination and emotions that cause the behavior or action. This means that children and adults can reflect on what is happening in the minds of others' and their own.

Thoughts of children with autism
Difficulty understanding the minds of others is a feature development for children with autism. Simon Baron-Cohen at the University of Cambridge, UK explains some autistic children questions have been asked in this study revealed difficulties. Generally, the question was asked for a four-year-olds as children without autism can answer simple questions. Here are some examples.

"Does the brain for?"
Children with autism over the chronological age of four not to mention the mental functions of the brain compared with typical children who reported the brain causes us to dream, want something, think, and keep the secret. Children with autism, however, showed physical functioning brain like ordinary kids who say the brain makes you move and help you stay alive.

"What is the difference between how things happen and how things really are?"
Four-year-olds are able to distinguish between appearance and reality when objects appear in a misleading way. For example, when a four-year look at the candles in the shape of apples, they tell us. "It looks like an apple, but it's really a candle."

Children with autism may say, however, that it is really an apple, an error about realism. Or, they might say, it's really a candle, two identities are not able to capture objects at the same time. How you think about something objectively or subjectively too difficult.

"What do others think?
Four-year-olds are able to think of other people's points of view, unlike most three-year-olds. Autistic children as young children have difficulty taking the perspective of others. They only talk about what they know, not what other people know '. They consider other people think what they think.

"Who knows what's in the box?"
If children with autism see a person looking into the box and others simply touching a box, they will be clear who knew what was in the box. In contrast, a typical three-year-old admits seeing principle-lead-to-know: ".. People who look into the box know what other people do not"

"What did you know?"
Vocabulary autistic children while looking at the picture story is more likely to include verbs such as "jump," "eat," or "move." They tend to include words that describe what is going on in the mind of someone like "think", "know", "hope," "pretend," and "Imagine."

"What do you think"?
Lack of use and understanding of the language in accordance with the rare use pretend and make-believe play. This can be caused by a young autistic children do not spontaneously think about what they imagine. They may not realize that what we feel should be done with not only what happened, but also what happens in our minds. Thus the autistic child can recognize them "happy" when they eat ice cream, but do not admit they also "feel good" when they just imagining or thinking about eating ice cream.
