Benefits of Marathon

As a marathon runner, we tend to start with a goal. To lose weight. To feel good. To finish the race. But we do not give enough credit to other things. Benefits appreciated. They are just as important, if not more important than some of the other "benefits" of your claim. These benefits are often not directly resulting from running. Not always, but sometimes. It's time they were credited, and I'm not holding my breath. If you find yourself nodding your head and fist-pumping the air in the agreement - well done. You're one of the few.

1. healthy body and mind
I'll start with something a little more clearly. Many start with a goal in mind. But how much do you really appreciate it? How often do you wake up and say "damn I feel good," even if you have to do the tedious, monotonous task for families. I would guess not many of you.

It's not your fault. Running has made you become a healthier person, even if you can not really see it yet. Depending on your trip, you might still have a long way to go. Some more than others. It will happen; Give it time.

The more you anticipate; the more you expect to suddenly occur, the more time it takes. Just appreciate that it is reasonable. It is also slow. This is not an overnight thing. If you've reached a place you consider to be the true health, both mentally and physically, either - more power to you. Make sure you appreciate it. And make it grow.

2. More energy for things that are important
Energy is essential for life. Without it, we will get a spot, and get there slowly. We need to get out of bed in the morning. We need it all day. We need to work. We need to evacuate the stomach.
Fortunately, running build energy. It gives us more energy for the things that we like. Playing with our children; appreciate pair, trips, among many other things. Sometimes having too much energy can be exhausting. I mean, who wants to keep the kids screaming and carrying on like a bunch of pork? Who wants to spend time with people who are demanding, clinging, and just want everything from
you? Maybe I exaggerated a little bit here.

But running gives you just that: energy. You WILL spend more time with your loved ones, even if they can be a bit to handle. Bring your family on vacation. Appreciate them. Smother them with love. Do what you can to be remembered as the marvelous old, and not gloomy, dull parents even your kids do not want to spend their time with you.

3. Meet wonderful people
I think the most important, the most significant attribute of the marathon is the people. Seriously. They are all awesome, except Fred - he could be a bit of a jerk sometimes.

When you run, you meet people from all over the world. Your perception. You stop looking at people based on race and religion, and other ethnic groups, and begin to love them as people. Because they are the people. I mean, some may be selfish, but you also can. Your mind will be open.

And it is because before you run, you limit yourself with people who get along with. Once you start, you have so many friends that you lose track. This is, by far, is something that can be left in the dark.
If you have met some wonderful people, send them a message. Talking with them more than you have. Become a friend who makes them want to be near you. Hit the gym together. Cherish them in your life.

4. rewarded with a medal at the end
I have to admit, this is something that may seem a bit arrogant. I do not care though. I worked bloody hard for my medals, and like hell you will not hear about them from me. I will plaster all over my walls (both up and real life one). I'll even wear it in a restaurant just so people can appreciate the work I've put in.

Strong sentiment with medals. You may not be fully aware, but received a medal at the end of the race is the best feeling ever. Actually, I'm sure you're aware of it. Even if you come in dead last. This means you are finished. You win. You beat the billions of other people (although they did not try), which is pretty good in my books.

Now put your medal around your neck (if they could all fit) and wear it with pride. Do not feel embarrassed. Arrogance is perfectly acceptable. Only here though.

5. Travelling experience
As you become more experienced in running, you start to get a chance left, right and center. Oh, there is a race in Chicago? I've never been there! So, you take the chance with both hands, and plan marathon. Let's face it: traveling is inevitable if you are an avid marathon runner. But if you do not run, you probably will not travel very much, if ever. Running gives you a reason to get out there. To pursue your dreams. Embrace every opportunity you have to travel, and you will have some wonderful, thought a story to tell the grandchildren.

6. Running is an antidepressant
Literally. It makes you feel happier than you were before.
You see: take a pill to help with depression can be dangerous. Do not get me wrong, it may be important as well. But you have to look for alternative options. One of the runs. The truth is: after you press group 65 and above age, taking antidepressants is growing risk of fractures, and make you prone to falling. Avoid drugs if you can. It has been running as your medication. This is something that you will thank me for it later, and, as we look back at the first point: walk leads to a healthy mind and body.

Conclusion
As we know, a lot benefits of marathon often left unnamed. Do not be a person who does not credit them running, and what comes out of it. Write down the good stuff down that has been the result of the run, and you will understand what I mean. This list would be endless. And this is only 6 of the many benefits of marathon runners can take for granted.
