Dessert pizza makes a change from the more traditional desserts and they were delicious for children and adults alike. Dessert pizza can be made on the basis of cookie dough or other type of sweet crust popular pizza and toppings include fruit, chocolate, candy and more.

You can make a healthy dessert pizza with whole wheat crust and a topping made with a selection of fresh fruit and berries. Serve low-fat yogurt or ice cream on the side and you have a delicious dessert, which tastes sinful but low in calories and fat. If you do not have a sweet tooth, you can use unsweetened pizza crust and top with fruit and cream cheese.
Unusual dessert pizza can be done by topping pizza crust with mozzarella or cheddar cheese and add the wine or berry. Here is an easy dessert pizza recipe that you might want to try. You can use the fruit as you like, but strawberries, kiwi, peach and went very well with chocolate and nuts.
Because pizza baked with chocolate sauce and then allowed to cool before you add the cream and fruit, you can get the kids to help you decorate it. What a great way to get them to eat more fruit!
Chocolate Fruity Dessert Pizza
You will need:
1loaf sweet dough, thawed and Risen
1/4 cup flour
1 egg
1/2 cup melted butter at room temperature
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
8 oz whipped topping
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 canned peach, sliced
1 package fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
1 kiwi fruit, sliced
How to make it:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Beat the egg well, and then blend in the sugars and flour. Add the butter and mix well.
Stir in the nuts and chocolate chips. Roll the dough into a 13 inch circle and put it on a greased 12-inch pizza pan. Roll the outside edge in, to make a Ridged edge.
Spread the chocolate filling over the pizza crust and bake it for 20 minutes. Cool the pizza crust on a wire rack, then spread the whipped topping over it and arrange the fruit on top.
